New Dress from Spring Maternity! I LOVE IT!

Bought this maternity dress from Spring Maternity cos it is 20% off!  Nowadays I find wearing dresses more comfortable than maternity pants cos my baby bump is getting bigger.

Don't know why Daddy said this dress is not nice but I love the colour very much.  Nv mind, Daddy doesn't have much fashion sense anyways...hahaha!

I'm at 25 weeks now.  Think the bump is getting more obvious cos people are giving up their seats for me.  One gentleman stood up when I got into the train.  I was holding my bag and talking on the hp.  He was very nice.
Most of the time, people will give up the reserved seat except for one time when a lady gave up her seat for me but another woman immediately walked over quickly and sat down.  The moment she sat down, she covered her eyes with her hands and pretended to sleep.  The lady sitting next to her jst continued to chat with her friend and pretend not to see.  It was very tiring to stand throughout the whole journey back home..sigh!  Luckily I drive so when I need to work, either Daddy will drive me there or I will drive to work myself.
Yes, I love my baby bump!
M getting breathless very easily nowadays. Can't walk around for too long and can't sit down for too long as well.  I think it must be Kaiser pressing against my ribs.

Taka Baby Fair

We went to Baby Taka Fair 2010 to see if we could get any good deals for baby prams and other items.

Before going over to Takashimaya, we dropped by Wisma Atrium Republic Food Court to have our early lunch.  Not many people there and Daddy ordered his fav food.

The pregnancy made me super tired, esp for the 1st trimester.  I looked like I just woke up from my sleep...hahaha!

ok, this looks a bit better..but still tired.

Daddy showing off the food he chose.

Daddy loves the bee hoon by this stall so whenever he goes to Republic Food Court, he only orders the food from this stall.

We bought a baby cot, baby bottle warmer and sterilizer hence we got about 3 or 4 chances to partake in the Baby Fair lucky draw.  Hopefully we win something for Baby Kaiser.

Back at Home...

Trying to take a pic with Enzo but don't know why the pictures all turn out to be blurred.

A free gift, Light moisturising oil from Avent, if you spend more than a certain amt(can't remember) on Avent products.  Supposed to be good to prevent stretch marks.  Have been using Avent cream and no stretch marks so far up till now, 23 weeks.  Hopefully, stretch marks do not appear later on.  Heard that stretch marks are hereditary so I asked my mum if she had that during her 3 pregnancies but she said no and also mentioned that her mum(my grandma) didn't hv that as well.  Fingers crossed that the dreadful lines do not appear.  Damn scaring!

Free Avent Magic Cream for babies found inside sterilizer package.

Pacifier clip...hhmmm... I don't intend to buy pacifier for Kaiser tho.  Let's see how.

Free Avent baby bottle.

Free Avent Baby Body & Hair Wash...ok, can save money on that.

A free bottle scrubber.

Another free Avent milk bottle

We bought this...Avent bottle warmer. Quite expensive. Luckily, there is discount given.

Avent sterilizer with all freebies!

A kiss by Enzo...my sweet lil baby love!

Annum Breastfeeding Forum on 31 Jul 2010

We went to Annum Breastfeeding Forum on 31 Jul 2010 held in Amara Hotel grandball room, even though I was only about 3 months pregnant back then..hahaha!

I simply love goodie bags!

Me looking at the programme run-down, found inside the goodie bag.

There were quite a lot of couples with babies attending the forum. The organiser had to combine 2 function rooms to accomodate people.

It started getting a bit boring halfway thru' so we started to camwhore.

Samples of Huggies inside the goodie bag.

2 sample packs of Annum milk for pregnant ladies and those who gave birth.  Too bad, I can't stand vanilla flavored milk hence I didn't try it.

Took a pic of Daddy as he listened to the speaker shared her experience.

The last segment of the Forum was a maternity Fashion Show by Mothers en Vogue.

21 Jul scan-about 4 mths

21 Jul was the date when Dr Lee told us that Kaiser is most likely a boy when he was doing the scan but he told us not to start buying blue coloured clothes until the 5th month detailed scanning when it will all be confirmed.  The night before we were still wondering if Kaiser is a boy or girl.  Daddy said that he doesn't mind whether it is a boy or girl cos it is ours.  But he did mentioned that he has a strong instinct that it is a boy.  I thought that it is a boy too cos a very famous Taiwanese fengshui master told me that I will have 2 boys.  Hhmmm.... usually boy boy's clothes are not as cute as girl girls' clothes and they don't hv so many accessories too. But nv mind, as long as Kaiser is healthy, it's ok.

Didn't manage to upload the video clip of the scan. Think it's too big...sigh!

Scan on 9th and 13 weeks

On the left side was the scan on 29 May.  Kaiser is looking more and more like a baby although the tail is still visible.  At least now, we can see the shape of the head, buds which will form the hands and legs.  Dr Lee showed us the heartbeat chart as well.  EDD changed to 1 Jan 2011.  We do hope that Kaiser is born on 1 Jan 2011 but really depends on whether he will be "guai guai' enough to stay inside my womb up till full term.  CRL is about 2.33cm and age about 9 weeks.

On the right side was the scan on 23 June.  Tail is gone and CRL is 7.01cm. Wow, Kaiser has become so big now. GA is 13 weeks and EDD changed to 28 Dec 2010.

How Baby's Name Came About...

Mummy says:

After the ultrasound scan at Dr Lee's clinic on 21 Jul 2010 and Dr Lee said that it is most likely a boy, we decided to give bean bean a name soon cos we can't keep calling him bean bean.  Our method of choosing was really funny.  Daddy suggested writing all the alaphabets on different pieces of paper, folding them and each one of us pick a paper to see the letter.  I picked "Q" and Daddy picked "A".  As I gotten a "Name Your Baby" book, we flipped to the section with all the boys' names beginning with "Q" and it was a very easy task cos not much names start with "Q".  We fell in love with the name "Quain"-a french name meaning "clever".  Very apt as bean bean was in my womb when we went over to France for our sugarmoon holiday in April this year.  We also hope that bean bean will be a clever little boy but Quain sounds better for a middle name and since Daddy picked "A", we proceeded to flip to the boys' names starting with "A".  Some of the names shortlisted are "Alastair", "Alonzo" and "Ansel".  The rest seemed too common already.  Of these 3, I like 'Alastair" the best.  However, it is 3 syllabus and people will find it difficult or don't even know how to pronounce.

We left our options open until the 5th month scan when the radiologist confirmed 100% that bean bean is a boy boy.

I practically flipped through every page of the book to look at all the boys' names to shortlist a few that are unique and not so common.  Some of the names include:-

Edan
Eden
Kaden
Kaiser
Renzo

I asked for Daddy's opinion and we shortlisted further to 2 names: Kaiser and Renzo.

Kaiser is a German name meaning "Emperor" or "Leader"-great cos Daddy wants bean bean to be a great man next time...hahaha!
Renzo is a Latin name meaning "Man from Lorenzo"- doesn't hv much meaning for us. However, it sounds pretty similar to my darling dog's name 'Enzo', so it will be great cos they are siblings mah...hahaha!

Ultimately, we decided on Kaiser cos Daddy said that some people may have difficult pronouncing the name "Renzo" cos it starts with the "R" and some people are too lazy to pronounce that.

Hence bean bean's name has been set:

KAISER QUAIN LIM
P/S: all MTBs, pls do not copy this name cos I want bean bean's name to be unique, okie? :)
